Okay, here’s my new piece of music. It’s been in the making for a while now.

I’m really pleased with this piece. I really have done what I set out to do. I wanted to create a piece that was kind of trance-like, but without the pounding drum beat. I wanted to make melodic electronica, but simplified down to some really essential elements. I just wanted these lovely melodic sequences with a lead line over the top, without anything else cluttering up the sound.

I have called this “version 1″ because I have every intention of doing at least one other version of this piece. At the very least, I want to also do a beat version, and see how it compares.
